നെക്രോ ഫീലിയ അപൂർവങ്ങളിൽ അപൂർവ്വം ആണ് .  അതൊരു രോഗാവസ്ഥയും ആണ് .  നമ്മുടെ  സമൂഹത്തിൽ പതിനായിരത്തിൽ ഒന്ന് പോലും സംഭവിക്കാത്ത   ഇത്തരം  ഒരു  പ്രശ്നത്തെ   സാർവ്വ ജനീനം  എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഉചിതമോ ? അല്ല എന്ന് തന്നെ  ഞാൻ പറയും , പക്ഷെ ധൈര്യ പൂർവ്വം ഈ വിഷയത്തെ   സമീപിക്കുകയും  നന്നായി  ചിത്രീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

പേര് സൂചിപികുന്ന പോലെ ഭാസ്കര്‍ എന്ന റാസ്കല്‍ലിന്റെ കഥ .ശങ്കരനാരായണന്‍ എന്ന കോടിശ്വന്‍റെ ഒറ്റ പുത്രന്‍ ആണ് ഭാസ്കര്‍. ശങ്കരനാരായണന്‍റെ പ്രാപ്തികൊത്ത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമോ വിവരമോ ഒന്നും തന്നെ ഇല്ല ഭാസ്കര്‍ന്.ഭാര്യ മരിച്ച ഭാസ്കറിന് സ്വന്തം ആയി ഒരു മകന്‍ ഉണ്ട് ആദി .സുന്ദരന്‍മാരായ രണ്ടു ആണുങ്ങളെ കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു സുന്ദരിമാര്‍ കൂടി ഉണ്ട് ഹിമ മകള്‍ ശിവാനി ഇ രണ്ടു സുന്ദര കുടുംബതിന്റെ കഥ ആണ് ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കല്‍ലേ പറഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നത് .ഇ രണ്ടു കുടുംബങള്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ഒരുമിപിക്കാന്‍ ആദിയും ശിവാനിയും തമ്മില്‍ നടത്തുന്ന പരിശ്രെമങ്ങള്‍ ആണ് ചിത്രത്തെ മുന്നോട്ടു കൊണ്ട് പോകുന്നത്..
ഓരോ കഥയിലും വരുന്ന പോലെ ഒരു ട്വിസ്റ്റ്‌ .ചിത്രം കാണുന്ന സാധാരണ പ്രേക്ഷകനു പോലും ഊഹികാവുന്ന ട്വിസ്റ്റ്‌..ഹിമയുടെ ഭര്‍ത്താവു തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നു ..2.30 മണികൂര്‍ഇല്‍ പറഞു പോകുന്നത്
ഒരു ഉത്സവകാല ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ട എല്ല ചേരുവകളും ഉള്ള ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കല്‍ 100% ഒരു നല്ല കുടുംബ ചിത്രം ആണ് ..എന്നാല്‍ നല്ലത് മാത്രം പറഞാല്‍ ശരിയാകില്ല  ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ പോരായിമകള്‍ പറയാന്‍ ഒരു പാട് ഉണ്ട് .ഇ സിനിമ കണ്ട ഒരാള്‍ക്കും വിശ്വസിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ല ഇതു ഒരു സിദ്ധക് ചിത്രം ആണ് എന്ന് ..സാധാരണ എത്ര മോശം ചിത്രം ആണെകിലും ഒരു നല്ല കഥ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം സിദ്ധക്ല്‍ നിന്ന് എന്നാല്‍ ചിത്രത്തെ മോശം ആയി ബാധിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് കഥ ..ഒരു സംവിധായാകാന്‍ എന്ന നിലയില്‍ 100% കൂറ് പുലര്‍ത്തിയ സിദ്ധക് ഒരു തിരകഥകൃത് എന്ന നിലയില്‍ ശരാശരിയില്‍ താഴെ മാത്രം ആകുന്നു പ്രകടനം..നല്ല ഒരു കുടുംബ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ ഒരു അധോലോകം കൂടി കുത്തിനിറച്ച ഒരു ഫീല്‍ ആണ് ..തിരകഥക് 2/5..ഹാസ്യത്തില്‍ ചാലിച്ച തിരകഥ രചികാറുള്ള സിദ്ധക് ഇത്തവണയും പതിവ് തെറ്റിച്ചില്ല നല്ല രീതിയില്‍ അത്യാവിശ്യം നല്ല നര്‍മ നിമിഷങള്‍ ഉണ്ട് ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കലില്‍
പിന്നേ സിനിമയില്‍ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടത് ചായാഗ്രഹണം ആണ് അത് വിജയ്‌ ഉലകനാഥ് എന്ന പ്രതിഭ്യക് മുന്‍പില്‍ സുരക്ഷിതം ആയിരുന്നു .എഡിറ്റിംഗ് കുറച്ചു കൂടി നന്നകാംആയിരുന്നു 2nd ഹാഫ് ലേ ആ ലാഗ് ഒഴുവാകാമായിരുന്നു ..ദീപക് ദേവ് തന്റെ കഴിവ് ഒരികല്‍ കൂടി തെളിയിച്ചു നല്ല മനോഹരം ആയ മൂന്ന് പാടുകള്‍ സിനിമയുടെ കഥയ്ക്ക്‌ വളരെ യോജിക്കുന്നു .ഭാസ്കര്‍ ആയി മമ്മൂട്ടിയും മകന്‍ ആദി ആയി സനൂപും നല്ല ഒരു അച്ഛനും മകനും ആയീ സ്ക്രീന്‍ ഇല്‍ നിരാജു നിന്ന് അത് പോലെ സുന്ദരിയായ അമ്മ ഹിമ ആയീ നയന്‍‌താരയും ശിവാനി ആയീ അനകയും അവരുടെ റോള്‍ ഭംഗി ആകി.ഈ 64 ആം വയസ്സിലും കഥാപാത്രത്തോടുള്ള മമ്മൂക്കയുടെ എനർജി എടുത്ത് പറയേണ്ട ഒന്നാണ്.ഭാസ്കറ് എന്ന കുറച്ച് തല്ലിപ്പൊളിയും തമാശക്കാരനുമായ കഥാപാത്രം മമ്മൂക്കാ വളരെ ഭംഗിയായി കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തു. മമ്മുക്കയുടെ ഈ അടുത്ത് ഇറങ്ങിയതിൽ വെച്ച് മികച്ച ഒരു entertainer ആണ് ഈ സിനിമ. അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ കോമഡിയും ആക്ഷനും ഗ്ലാമറും എല്ലാം സിനിമയിൽ നന്നായി ചൂഷണം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. .ശങ്കരനാരായണന്‍ എന്ന കഥപത്രത്തെ അവതരിപിച്ച ജനാര്‍ദനന്‍ ,ബാസ്കര്റെയ് ശിങ്ങടികളായ ഷാജോണും,ഹരിശ്രീ അശോകനും ,പാഷാണം ഷാജിയും..അവരുടെ റോള്‍ ഭംഗി ആകി ...വിഷു-ഈസ്റ്റ്ര്‍ റിലീസുകളില്‍ അവസാനം എത്തിയ ചിത്രം കൂടി ആണ് ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കല്‍ ഇ വിഷു കാലത്തെ ഒരു ബ്ലോക്ബസ്സ്റ്റര്‍ ആകാന്‍ ഉള്ള എല്ല ചേരുവകളും ഉണ്ട് ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കല്‍ ഇല്‍ ...ചിത്രം കാണുന്ന ഓരോ പ്രേക്ഷകനെയും നിരാശ പെടുത്തില്ല ഭാസ്കര്‍ ദി റാസ്കല്‍ ..ശരാശരി നിലവാരം അവകാശപ്പെടാവുന്ന ഒരു ആക്ഷന്‍-കോമഡി-ഫാമിലി-സെന്റിമെന്റല്‍ ഫോര്‍മാറ്റാണ് സിനിമയ്ക്ക്.
കോമഡി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്കും ആക്ഷന്‍ മൂവി ഇഷടപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്കും സര്‍വ്വോപരി മമ്മൂട്ടിയെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്കും ഒരു തവണ കണ്ടിരിക്കാം ഭാസ്കറിനെയും ടീമിനേയും.

ഒരു വടക്കന്‍ സെല്‍ഫി

എന്‍ജിനയറംഗ് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിയായ ഉമേഷെന്റെ കഥയാണ് ഒരു വടക്കന്‍ സെല്‍ഫി. പേര് സൂചിപ്പികുന്ന പോലെ കേരളത്തിലെ വടക്കേ   ജില്ല കണ്ണൂരിലെ തലശ്ശേരിയില്‍ ആണ് കഥ നടകുന്നത് .നമ്മുക്ക് ഇവരെ ഭീകരന്‍മാരായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കാം പ്രധാന ഭീകരന്‍ ഉമോഷ് (നിവിന്‍ പോളി) ജീവിത്തില്‍ ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ചെറുപ്പക്കാരന്‍ ആണ്. എന്‍ജിനയറംഗ് പരീക്ഷയില്‍   സപ്പളിയില്‍ ഒതുങ്ങിയിരികുമ്പോള്‍ ആണ് ഏതൊരു സാധാരണ ചെറുപ്പകാരനെയും പോലെ പ്രശസ്തന്‍ ആകണം എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യം... ലക്ഷ്യം... അവസാനിച്ചത് സിനിമാ മോഹം തലയില്‍ കയറിയപ്പോള്‍ .നാട്ടില്‍ ഉമേഷിന്റെ കൂടെ എന്തിനൂ എപ്പോഴും ഒരവസരത്തില്‍ കഥാഗതി മാറ്റുന്ന മറ്റെരു ഭീകരന്‍ ഷാജി (അജുവര്‍ഗീസ്) എന്നീ സുഹ്രത്തുക്കള്‍ നേരിടുന്ന ഒരു പ്രശ്നം അതിനെ അതിജീവിക്കുന്നതാണ് കഥയുടെ ഇതിവ്രത്തം. സ്തിരം ക്ളിേഷ കഥയാണെന്ന് കരുതിയാല്‍ തെറ്റി മറ്റൊരു രീതിയില്‍ ആണ് കഥ പോകുന്നത് ചെന്നെയില്‍ വെച്ചു തീരേണ്ട ഈ പ്രശ്നത്തിന് ഇവര്‍ക്ക് കൂട്ടായി മറ്റൊരു കൊടും ഭീകരന്‍ കൂടി രംഗ്ഗ പ്രവേശം ചെയ്യുന്നു ഡിക്ടട്ടീവ് ജാക്ക് (വിനീത് ശ്രിനിവാസന്‍) ഉമേഷിനു ജീവിതത്തില്‍ ഇന്‍സ്പിരേഷന്‍ ആകുന്ന ഡയ്സി (മഞ്ജിമ) ഈ നാല്‍വര്‍ സംഘം  ഒരുമിച്ചു നടത്തുന്ന ഒരുമിച് ആ പ്രശ്നത്തെ നേരിടുന്നതും ആണ് ചിത്രം പറയുന്ന കഥ ഇന്ന് നമ്മുടെ യുവ്വത്വം സോഷ്യല്‍ നെറ്റ് വര്‍ക്കിംഗ് സൈറ്റ്സ് ആയ ഫേയ്സ്ബുക്ക് വാട്സാപ്പ് എന്നിവയിലുടെ വീഴുന്ന വന്‍ കുഴികളെ പറ്റിയുമൊക്കെ ചിത്രം ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇന്ന് കേരളത്തില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയേണ്ട നമ്മുടെ യുവത്വം ഇന്ന് അനുഭവികുന്ന ഒരു സാമൂഹിക പ്രശ്നം ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു പ്രജിത്ത് എന്ന യുവ സംവിധായകന്‍ ഒരു വടക്കന്‍ സെല്‍ഫിയിലുടെ .. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ട്രയലര്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിചു കാണും. ട്രയലര്‍ കണ്ടു നമ്മള്‍ ഒരുപാട് പേര്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷചതില്‍ നിന്ന് വിപരീതം ആയ  കഥ എഴുതിയ കൊടും ഭീകരന്‍ വിനീത് ശ്രീനിവാസനു ഒരായിരം നന്ദി... മലയാളികള്‍ക്ക് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിത്രം സമ്മാനിചതിന് പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ആരുടെയും പ്രകനത്തെ എടുത്ത് പറയാന്‍ സാധികില്ല എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിന്നെന്ന് മനോഹരം എന്ന് തന്നെ പറയാം നീരജ് മാധവ്, വിജയരാഘവന്‍,  പി സുകുമാര്,‍ തുടങ്ങിയെല്ലാവരും നന്നായിരുന്നു ഒരു നവാഗത സംവിധായകന്‍ ആയിട്ടു കൂടി പ്രജിത്തിന്റെ സംവിധാനം വളരെ മികച്ചതാണ് .പ്യവര്‍ കോമഡിയുടെ പൂ രപറമ്പായ തിരക്കഥ കൂടിയായപ്പോള്‍ ചിത്രം കിടിലോല്‍ കിടിലം. ജോമോന്‍ ടി ജോണ്‍ന്റെ ക്യമറയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ നിലാമ്പലിന്‍ എന്ന ഗാനരംഘം മാത്രം മതി. ഷാന്‍ റഹ്മാന്റെ സംഗീതം വളരെ വളരെ മനോഹരം വ്യതസ്ഥം ആയ   ഗാനങ്ങള്‍ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കഥയ്ക് വളരെ യോജിച്ചു പോകുന്നു ഒന്നാണ് പിന്നെ നമ്മുടെ നയകന്റെ കാര്യം എടുത്തു പറയണോ ഒരോ ചിത്രം കഴിയുംതോറും തന്റെ നിലവാരം ഒരിക്കിലും താഴെ പോകാതെ പ്രകടനം ആണ് നിവിന്‍ പോളിയുടേത്... നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക തുല്യം നിങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമേയുള്ളു നിവിന്‍ പോളി .. അങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു വരുമ്പോള്‍ വടക്കന്‍ സെല്‍ഫി ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു നിരാശയാകില്ല.. എന്നത് തീര്‍ച്ചയാണ് നമ്മള്‍ ഓരോരുത്തരും തീര്‍ച്ചയായും കണ്ടിരികേണ്ട ചിത്രം ആണ് ..

മറിയംമുക്ക്.. പേര് സുചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പോലെ മറിയംമുക്കിലെ സഹവാസികളുടെ സ്നേഹവു ഇണക്കവും പിണക്കങ്ങളും ഒക്കെ നിറഞ്ഞ 100 ശതമാനം കടപ്പുറത്തുകാരുടെ ചിത്രം ആണ് മറിയംമുക്ക്. ഫഹദ് ഫാസില്‍ അവതരിപ്പികുന്ന ഫെലിക്സ് എന്ന യുവാവിനെ മുന്‍നിര്‍ത്തിയാണ്. അനാഥനായ ഫെലിക്സിനെ വളര്‍ത്തിയത് മനോജ് കെ ജയന്‍ അവതരിപ്പികുന്ന ആശാന്‍ എന്ന കഥാപാത്രം ആണ് .പരസ്പരം തമ്മിതല്ലിയും വഴക്കടിചും ജീവികുന്ന മറിയംമുക് നിവാസികളുടെ ജീവിധത്തെ മാറ്റിമറികുന്ന ഒരു മഹാഅത്ഭുതം നടകുന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ പോകുന്നു മറിയംമുക്കിലെ കഥ .ആദ്യമായി മുക്കുവ വേഷത്തില്‍ എത്തിയ ഫഹദ് ഫാസിലിന്റെ കൈയ്യില്‍ ഫെലികസ് എന്ന കഥാപാത്രം ഭദ്രംമായിരുന്നു .വളരെ അനായസമായ് ആണ് ഫഹദ് കടപുറം ശൈലി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. മറിയംമുക്കിലൂടെ 'സനാ അല്‍താഫ്' എന്ന പുതുമുഖ നടി കൂടി മലയാള സിനിമാലോകത്തേക് പ്രവേശിചിരികുകയാണ്. സലോമിയായി നല്ലരീതിയില്‍ സന തന്റെ ഭാഗം ഗംഭീര്മാക്കി .ഇവരെ കൂടാതെ ഇര്‍ഷാദ്, ജോയി മാത്യു ,പ്രതാപ് പോത്തന്‍, അജു വര്‍ഗീസ്, എന്നവരും അവരുടെ ഭാഗം ഭംഗിയാക്കി. ജെയിംസ് ആല്‍ബര്‍ട്ടിന്റെ രചന ശരാശരിയില്‍ മാത്രം ഒതുങ്ങുന്നു. സംവിധാനം ശരാശരിക്ക് മുകളിലും നില്‍കുന്നു .ഗിരീഷ് ഗംഗാധരന്റെ ചായാഗ്രഹണം വളരെ മികച്ചു നില്‍കുന്നു .ഓരേ ഫ്രയ്മ്മും അധിമനോഹരം. വിദ്യാസാഗറിന്റെ സംഗീതവും അതിമനോഹരംമാണ്. കടപുറം പശ്ചാതലത്തിനു പറ്റിയ രീതിയില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു ഓരോ പാട്ടുകളും. കുറേ നാളുകള്‍ക് ശേഷം കടപുറം പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ഉള്ള ചിത്രം എന്നതലുപരി മോശംഅല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ചിത്രം ആണ് മറിയംമുക്ക്

അത്യുജലം എന്നകെ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ കുറഞ്ഞ് പോകും വിക്രമിന്റെ 3 വര്‍ഷത്തെ കഷ്ട്ടപാടിനെ കുറിച്ച് പറയാന്‍ മലയാള അക്ഷരമാലയില്‍ ഇനി വാക്കുകള്‍ ഇല്ല.

ശക്കര്

‍ പതിവ് ശക്കര്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ ഹിറോ സംവിധായകന്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും. എന്നാല്‍ ശക്കറിന്റെ സംവിധാനത്തില്‍ ചെറിയ ഒരു വലിയ പിഴ ഒളിഞ്ഞു കിടപ്പുണ്ട്. ഒരു സിനിമയുടെ നട്ടെല്ലണ് തിരക്കഥ എന്നാല്‍ ഐയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും ദുര്‍ബലവും തിരക്കഥ തന്നെയാണ് അനാവശ്യം ആയ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴുവാക്കിയിരുന്നെക്കില്‍ കിടു എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പികാവുന്ന ഐയെ നമുക്ക് കികിടുപടം എന്ന് പറയാമായിരുന്നു.

ഇവരെ കൂടാതെ എടുത്ത് പറയേണ്ടത് സുരേഷ് ഗോപി, എമ്മി ജാക്സണ്‍ ,എ ആര്‍ റഹ്മാന്‍, ശ്രിറാം, എന്നിവരെയാണ് സുരേഷ് ഗോപി ..ആരാ എന്താ എന്നൊക്കെ തീയറ്ററില്‍ പോയി കണ്ട് അറിയുക .റഹ്മാന്റെ സംഗീതം കിടിലോല്‍കിടിലം ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഫ്ളോ പോകാതെ സൂക്ഷിചു സംഗീതവും പശ്ചാതലസംഗീതവും. വിക്രം കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ചിത്രം മികച്ച ഒരു അനുഭവം ആയത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന പക്കും മേയ്ക്കപ്പ് സെക്ഷനില്‍ ആണ് ഐ ഓസ്ക്കാര്‍ നോമിനേഷനില്‍ വന്നാല്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും മേയ്കപ്പ് കാറ്റഗറിയില്‍ ആയിരിക്കും തീര്‍ച്ച.

  3 വര്‍ഷത്തെ കഷ്ട്ടപാടില്‍ പിറന്ന ചിത്രം ആണ് ഐ ചെറിയ ചെറിയ പോരായ്മകള്‍ ഒഴിച്ചു നിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ ഐ  നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ക് ഒരു അനുഭവംമായിരിക്കും തീര്‍ച്ച .

ദ്രശ്യം എന്നത് ജീത്തു ജോസഫ് എന്ന സംവിധായകന്റെ മികവാണെന്നും ഇതു പോലെരു  ചിത്രം ഇനി ഇറങ്ങുവാന്‍ പോകുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞവര്‍ക്കുള്ള തിരിചടിയാണ് സെക്കന്റസ്. ഇനി കഥയിലേക് കടക്കാം വീരമണി ,ഫിറോസ്, തമ്പി, ടീന, തികച്ചും അപരിജിതര്‍ ആയ  പേര്‍  ഒരു ലിഫ്റ്റ് ല്‍ വെച്ച് നാല് പേരില്‍ രണ്ട് പേര്‍ക്ക് ഒരു അപകടം സംഭവിക്കുന്നു ഇ നാലു പേരെ ചുറ്റി പറ്റിയാണ് ചിത്രം വികസിക്കുന്നത് പിന്നീട് ഇവര്‍ ആരാണ് എങ്ങനെയാണ് എന്നൊകെയാണ് കാണികുന്നത്. ജയസൂര്യ അവതരിപ്പികുന്ന വീരമണി ഒരു  LIC   ഏജന്റ് ആണ് ഭാര്യയും മകളും ആയി സന്തോഷകരശമായി ജീവികുന്നു വീരമണി .വിനയ് ഫോര്‍ട്ട് അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഫിറോസ് ഒരു ഫോട്ടോഗ്രഫര്‍ ആണ്. വിനായകന്‍ തമ്പി എന്ന ഗുണ്ടയെ അവതരിപ്പികുന്നു. അപര്‍ണ്ണ നായര്‍ ടീന എന്ന സെയ്ല്‍സ് ഗേള്‍ ആയി വേഷമിടുന്നു. ഇവര്‍ നാലു പേരും എങ്ങനെ ആ ലിഫ്റ്റില്‍ എത്തപെട്ടു എന്നതാണ് ആദ്യ പകുതി പറയുന്നത്.  ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ തുടകം കാണികുന്ന ഒരു മരണത്തെ ചുറ്റിപറ്റിയാണ് രണ്ടാം പകുതി പറയുന്നത് കേസ്സ് അന്വഷികുന്ന ഉദ്യഗസ്തന്‍ കേസ് ക്ലോസ് ചെയ്യുന്നതും ഞെട്ടികുന്ന ഒരു ക്ലൈമാകസിലൂടെയാണ് ചിത്രം അവസാനിപ്പികുന്നത് .ഒരു ത്രില്ലര്‍ ചിത്രത്തിനു വേണ്ട എല്ലാ ചെരുവകളും അടങ്ങിയതാണ് ചിത്രം ഒരു നിമിഷം പോലും നമ്മെ മുഷിപ്പികുന്നില്ല സെകന്റസ്.  ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ട്രയലറും പോസ്റ്ററുകളും സൂചിപ്പികുന്ന പോലെ അല്ല കഥ  ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ കഥ അറിയാതെ ഇരിക്കാന്‍ മികച്ച ഒരു ശ്രമം ആണ് സംവിധായകന്‍ നടത്തിയിരികുന്നത് അനീഷ് ഉപാസന എന്ന സംവിധായകന്റെ വളരെ മികച്ച ഒരു സംവിധാന സംരംഭം ആണ് സെകന്റസ് കൂടാതെ ക്യമറയും മികച്ചു നില്‍കുന്നു ദ്രശ്യത്തിനുശേഷം നമ്മൈ ഇത്ര ത്രില്‍ അടിപ്പിച്ച ചിത്രം ഉണ്ടയിട്ടില്ല എന്നു തന്നെ പറയാം ത്രിലര്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ഇഷ്ടപെടുന്നവരെ ഒരികലും നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തില്ല സെക്കന്റസ് ...

Arrambam Review

This time it is Thala Diwali, with Ajith sizzling the screen with Aarambam! He has good support with Arya, Nayan, Rana, Tapsee and a horde of cast. Aarambam is a flick where style meets action in a predicted way trying to make it big counting on Ajith’s tremendous performance. The story in limelight is the usual Old wine in new bottle and as always the presentation counts and that has made all the difference.

IDUKKI GOLD REVIEW Once again Ashiq Abu trying to make yet another new generation wave in the Malayalam industry.Like the previous time this movie only entertains those who are font of his films,and some movie critics who see this in rather serious manner.IDUKKI GOLD is a comedy drama. SCRIPT:Story by Santhosh Aechikkanam reveals the past and present of the 5 member ‘namelss’ gang.Their reunion,nostalgia and friendship is the main theme in the story.But nothing happens in the story which will make the viewer stick on to the seat.Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair has done a nice job in making a below average story in to an above average script.The progress of the screenplay might make an average viewer bore,but movie maniac might like this.Some comedies clicked,some flopped.Some dialogues are memorable.But the movie had a flow,eventhough it was damn slow at times.Liked this dialogue like hell ‘’Athu manushyan undakkiyatha,Ithu daivam undakkiyathum, mee eth edukkun?’’ DIRECTION:Ashiq Abu is well known for his own‘school’ of film making.This movie also is not different.The movie had the best cast,but they didnt had much to do in the movie,failure of script.I especially liked these things.,Idukki Dam location,Pink Floyd,Plastic bottle Honey bee scene,Babu Antony’s action,childhood heroine,Cool olichottam.How ever this isn’t what we expected in an Ashiq Abu movie. ACTING:Only Raveendran had something to do in the movie,rest of the cast except Babu Anotony had nothing to do.But the entire childhood actors were excellent.Lal showed his caliber eventhough he had only a scene. TECHNICAL:Shyju Khalid’s camera is an awesome experience to the eyes.Editing by Saajan is okay.But audiography by Dan Jose wasn’t that good. SOUND TRACK:May be the Music department will be the best thing about the movie.The BGM’s were Spanish and 80’s mix ,and it was a nnice experience.One thing would have made it even better,a DTS mix.The title song is melodious and the Marijuana song is making a ‘trance effect’. IDUKKI GOLD is for those who like to spend some time relaxed in the AC.Others plese don’t step in to the theatre. RATING:6.75/10 S.W.:Lots of Marijuana scenes are there.,so better keep the children away.

Overall this movie is a disappointment to DQ fans :(
Pattam Pole is a movie which lost its theme in between the run
The movie revolves around a karthik (DQ) and Riya (Malavika Mohanan) who decides to marry b4 getting matured
and basically some ego probz b/w them :(

I will say this movie is a family entertainer but not worth for your money :(
Ma thumps down for DQ starring Pattam Pole ....

തിയേറ്ററിൽ ചലനമുണ്ടാകാൻ സാധികാത്ത പല ചിത്രങ്ങളും DVD പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയാൽ മികച്ച സിനിമകളായി കണക്കാകുന്ന ഒരു പ്രവണത ഇപ്പോൾ നിലവിലുണ്ട്. ചാപ്റ്റേഴ്സും ഇത് പോലെ മരണത്തിനു ശേഷം ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റ ഒരു ചിത്രമായിരുന്നല്ലോ (ചാപ്റ്റേഴ്സ് ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. മിക്ക ഗ്രൂപുകളിലും കണ്ട അഭിപ്രായപ്രകടനത്തിന്റെ പേരിലാണ് ഞാനിത് പറഞ്ഞത്).അപ്പൊ കരുതിയതാ സുനിൽ ഇബ്രാഹിമിന്റെ അടുത്ത സിനിമ തിയേറ്ററിൽ പോയി കാണണമെന്ന് . സംവിധായകൻ സുനിൽ ഇബ്രാഹിം, ഇന്ദ്രജിത്ത് എന്ന നടന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യം, ഈ സിനിമയുടെ സ്റ്റോറി ത്രെഡിലെ പുതുമ ഇതൊക്കെയാണ് ആദ്യദിനം ഈ സിനിമ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ കാരണം. പൂർണമായും മിസ്റ്റീരിയസ്, സൈകോളജിക്കൽ ത്രില്ലെർ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ വരുന്ന ഒരു മലയാള ചിത്രമാണ് അരികിൽ ഒരാൾ. ഈ തലത്തിലുള്ള സിനിമകൾ മലയാളത്തിൽ കുറവായത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഈ ഉദ്യമത്തിന് ആദ്യമൊരു സല്യൂട്ട്.Like 24matinee in facebook click here

സൌഹൃദത്തിലൂടെയാണ് സിനിമ വികസിക്കുന്നത് . അവരുടെ ബന്ധങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലുണ്ടാവുന്ന ചില അവിശ്വസനീയ സംഭവങ്ങളും അതിന്റെ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം തേടിയുള്ള അന്വേഷണവുമാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം. സിദ്ധാർഥിന്റെ മേലാധികാരിയായി ലെനയും സൂപ്പർനാച്ചുറൽ പവേഴ്സിനെ പറ്റി റീസെർച്ച് ചെയ്യുന്നയാളായി പ്രതാപ് പോത്തനും ചെറുതല്ലാത്ത കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുമായി ഈ സിനിമയിലുണ്ട്. ഈ സിനിമയിൽ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടത് സംവിധാന മികവു തന്നെയാണ്. സിനിമയെ, അത് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന മൂഡിൽ നിലനിർത്തുകയും ഒരു പരിതി വരെ പ്രേക്ഷകനെ ത്രില്ലടിപ്പിക്കാനും സംവിധായകന് കഴിഞ്ഞു . ഗോപി സുന്ദർ ഒരുക്കിയ പശ്ചാത്തല സംഗീതം ദൃശ്യാനുഭവത്തിന്റെ മാറ്റ് കൂട്ടി എന്ന് തന്നെ പറയാം. പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് വളരെയധികം ആകാംഷ സമ്മാനികുകയും മുൾമുനയിൽ നിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ട് ആദ്യ പകുതി അവസാനിച്ചു. മികച്ച ആദ്യ പകുതിക്കു ശേഷം ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഒഴുക്ക് നഷ്ടമായത് പോലെ തോന്നി .മിക്ക സസ്പെൻസ് ചിത്രങ്ങളെ പോലെ ഈ സിനിമയും ധാരാളം ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ബാക്കിവെച്ചാണ് അവസാനികുന്നത്.ആദ്യ ദിനമായത് കൊണ്ട് കൂടുതലായി ആ ഭാഗത്തേക് ഞാൻ കടക്കുന്നില്ല. സിനിമയെ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള വ്യഗ്രതയിൽ രണ്ടാം പകുതി ശരാശരി നിലവാരത്തിൽ ഒതുങ്ങിയതും ക്ലൈമാക്സ് ക്ലിഷേയിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയതും തെല്ലൊന്നു നിരാശപെടുത്തിയെങ്കിലും, മലയാളത്തിനു അത്ര പരിചയമില്ലാത്ത വഴികളിലൂടെ നടന്ന്, തുടക്കകാരന്റെ യാതൊരു വിധ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളൊന്നും പ്രകടമാകാതെ ഇത്തരത്തിലൊരു പുത്തൻ ചലച്ചിത്രാനുഭവമൊരുക്കിയ സുനിൽ ഇബ്രാഹിം വളരെയധികം അഭിനന്ദനമർഹിക്കുന്നു. ഭാവിയിലും നല്ല പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ നമ്മുക്ക് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം.Rating:4/5Like 24matinee in facebook click here

The story revolves around developments coming to a village in Kerala by the name ‘ Vathipuram’, and the consequences that follows. After hearing  the one line , one may  feel it’s a  parallel cinema , but certainly it has got all the flavours of a commercial film.

Lets drift through the story line in brief.. ‘ Kunjananthan ‘ (Mammootty) is a villager , with some strict convictions on life. His grocery shop is not only his bread and butter but also his word itself ! Although he is quite genuine, what takes him aback is his ‘ ego ‘ and narrow mindedness. He always misjudges people by the fact that they all speak ill of him ! This behavior disorder of him is the root cause of the issues with his wife ‘ Chithira’ (Nyla Usha).

That’s when as part of the developmental activities, the road through the village was to be widened. So, the government decides to evacuate the shops that stood by the road , and plans to demolish them.Like 24matinee in facebook click here

Kunjananthan keeps aside all his ego and complexes , stands at the fore front  of the agitations against the government’s move which finally ends on a positive note !

What benefits Kunjanathan from these series  of isues is that, he could come out of the nut shell and explore the world outside him ! what was ruining him till then was the grey shades of his ego and complexes towards people..  In one of the scenes its aptly told by one of the characters that “ onnum parichu kalayaruth sir, ellaam parichu nadanam “

Sure, this will be another feather on the cap of Salim Ahammed after the much renowned ‘ Adaminte Makan Abu ‘.

Produced by Mishri Productions, Thalaivaa has cinematography by Nirav Shah and music by GV.Prakash.Thalaivaa is a 3 hour biopic of a common man who turns into a leader.The movie starts off in Mumbai with Sathyaraj's character being introduced.

It quickly jumps onto Australia, where we have Vijay's entry with TamizhPasanga. The screen is set ablaze with some breath-taking dance moves. Amala Paul and Santhanam make their entry, and the first half moves filled with fun, while looking colorful. There is a hilarious surprise too. Thelove track is well etched and special credits have to be given to the song picturisations.As the movie moves to Mumbai, more facts are unveiled, with the mother of them all at the interval block.Into the second half, and Thalaivaa begins to drag around a bit. The unimpressive villain, a few clich�-ridden old fashioned scenes and a needless second heroine all work against the film. But AL Vijay does garner your attention with some brainy scenes and a good climax.

VaanganaVanakangana is an added delight.Thalaivaa is undoubtedly one of Vijay's best performances till date. His casual acts as the chic and trendy dancer as well as the spirited leader are a treat to watch. He has truly matured as an actor. Amala Paul fits in her shoes to the T, and is soon reaching out to be one of the dusky beauties of Tamil Cinema. Sathyaraj has a powerful role here, and makes his presence felt while he's onscreen. Santhanam packs a punch with his one-liners and is sure to put a smile on your face with every appearance. The supporting actors have done justice to their roles, Ponvannan and Rajeev Pillai stand out among the rest.Nirav Shah's professionalismwith the camera is felt in every frame. He is one of the lynchpins of the movie and has put in a superb effort. Even though the editing is good, some effort could have been put in to make the movie crispier. Stunts by Stunt Silva are fine, however they arescarce.AL Vijay always opts for a slow moving screenplay and Thalaivaa is no different. The movie takes its owntime to unfold.

One does tend to loseinterest at some points. Had he worked a little harder on the execution, Thalaivaa would have gone places.GV.Prakash's songs might have done wonders, but his BGM is totallyout of place. The excitement in someinteresting scenes has been broughtdown by the bland background score. One had to wait long for the Thalaivaa theme, and it has been putto worst use at the climax.Thalaivaa is not the normal racy entertainer you will expect from Vijay. It is a movie which travels on aslower note, peppered with morale values and lessons to learn. It will entertain you and at the same time, enlighten you. A different Vijay film, by any means.

Verdict : A slow film with a good amount of substance. More class, less mass.

When it’s a Rohit Shetty film, you are not supposed to take your thinking caps to the theater. Chennai Express from Rohit Shetty and Shahrukh Khan is a perfect entertainer for this festive season. And compared to the slap stick comedy filmography of the commercially successful director, this one has some interesting varieties to surprise you.  It’s not that Rohit Shetty has totally changed or something, but some minute changes in treatment here and there makes a difference from his previous comedy tracks.like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE

The plot here has the 40 year old bachelor Rahul who lives along with his grandparents.  After his grandfather’s death, his grandmother asks him to carry his ashes to Rameswaram and do the rituals. But the fun loving Rahul plans to go to Goa along with his friends. On his way to Goa he happens to help a girl Meena Lochni aka Meenamma and this deed totally changes his tour plans. With the girl being kidnapped by a bunch of people who interestingly is the relatives of her, the “common man” Rahul is in a difficult situation.  What happens to the Rameswaram journey of Rahul after the entry of these characters is what Chennai Express all about.like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE

Jeeps are supposed to spin and the cars are supposed to explode when it is an entertainer from Rohit Shetty. But surprisingly these typical elements are quite less in this film. Unlike many Shetty films we can see a more down to earth hero. The guy never fights back and even in the desperate climax fight, the character is getting beaten up badly by the gigantic villain. The real USP of this movie is the chemistry of SRK and Deepika. On screen, after a while we get to see that vibrant Shahrukh Khan and I must say that they have used his funny act to its best. Deepika Padukone shines in her role as Meena and she maintains the accent quite smartly. But hearing her Tamil was a bit disturbing as it lacked fluency. In the making as I said, Rohit Shetty has made some minute changes in his style. He has lessened the degree of typicality that’s evident in his film making. The storyline is quite a silly and predictable one that doesn’t have anything to claim as fresh and the screenplay also just goes on without much surprises. The extent of non-veg in the dialogues is less. Better stunts are there to entertain you and I enjoyed the climax fight where they showed some respect to Newton and his findings. Overall, Chennai Express is perfect when you look at it as a festival cracker. If you have seen the director’s previous films, there is no need for me to tell you what to expect. My rating is 3/5 for this slightly improved comedy film from Rohit Shetty.like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE

NEELAKASHAM PACHAKADAL CHUVANNABHOOMI REVIEW submmited by Nikhil Edakkott Sameer Thahir had the balls to do it previously by making a movie which was against all the establishments,’Chappa Kurish’.Now once again,by making the pioneer movie of the one of the much awaited genre in malayalam industry [and my most favorite genre also],eventhough Shaji Kailas and Renjith had made ‘Ruraksham’ back in 1996. SCRIPT:Hashir Mohammed,the script writer tells us nothing about the whereabouts of the 2 protagonists,who begins a journey in a classy style on a Royal Enfeild Bullet.The story of their life is explained to the audience during the journey by a flashback.The dialogues are interesting,but the lead actors were stuggling with the Calicut and Kannur slangs.The script is a decent work,a fresh one indeed. NPCB is a good road movie,if you consider the ‘road part’,but the flash back part killed all the enthusiasm.Almost all world famous road movies,with a few exceptions ofcourse,follows forward telling in the narration.That is like a golden rule of Road Movies.This is because the thrill of a road movie comes from the feeling of ‘what happens next?’,an amount of uncertainty is needed.But here,Im sure that viewers lost the interest in the movie once they understood the 'cliché' flash back story[though fresh].They became sure that where this is headed and where this is going to end.That made the movie ending with an uninteresting 30 minutes.It would have been much more better if they entirely removed the flash back and finishing it with an open ending.Hashir Mohammed is talented,hope he comes with a blast next time.The only positive entity of the script is ,it showcases the unseen part of India. like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE DIRECTION:Sameer Thahir has improved a lot from the Chappa Kurish.He saved the movie in most of the dragging scenes.From the selection of bullets till the selection of locations,his classy directorship is felt.There are lots of unwanted scenes in the script,like ‘forest race’ ‘the truck bike duel scene’ etc, which was made viewable only due to his filmmaker skills.The casting is another area of brilliance,where he had to use different kinds of human beings across the nation,it felt original.A perfect Directors movie. like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE ACTING:Dulquar Salman and Sunny Wayne performed as usual.By 'usual' I mean,the repeated style of acting they had been doing since ‘Second Show’.Doubts have raised,whether they are capable of doing something different than this 'method acting'.Remind that 'method actors' are always typecasted![only exception being Mohanlal],and that’s a bad fate.What ever, in this movie they performed well.The lead actress performed nicely.In acting department,he main attraction is the acting of side actors,. TECHNICAL:.The shots had the color tone which matches the mood of the scene.Road movies are the most complicated type of genre to be picturised,and considering that aspect its brilliant cinematography by the DOP Girish Gangadharan.The veteran Sreekar Prasad has made the right cuts.Sound Design by Tapas Nayak was excellent. like 24matinee in facebook CLICK HERE SOUNDTRACK:Songs by Rex Vijayan are well picturised,so they can be viewed,but not a cool thing to hear them alone.But on the otherhand BGS was very much impressive.Never heard a bad note or beat between the scenes. MEMORIES REVIEW submitted by Nikhil Edakkott  Jeethu Joseph produced a dark horse among the Ramzan releases.This film even though has so many references from the Malayalam film making style itself, in terms of cliché,but its entertaining.Memories is a mystery-drama-thriller. SCRIPT:Story begins with a brocken Police officer who has become drunkard by a past incident,which comes and goes here and there[a typical cinematic cliché].He turns to investigate a serial killing, which makes the film interesting.Story can be compared to recent hit ‘Grandmaster’,where the police officer had become lazy by a past incedent.Dialogues follows the good old pattern and accent of mollywood.Some of the dialogues felt over sophisticated and literary.Screenplay has its moments;there is good action,suspence scenes etc.The scene progression is pretty much impressive.The over dramatization of some scenes felt dragging.The scriptwriter[Jeethu Joseph himself] has succeded in building a good suspense and holding it till the end.Viewver will not have the faintest idea about who is the killer,and scripwriter successfully gave confusion to the viewer by portraying some of the casts as the killer at some points of the scipts.Jeethu Joseph followed so many registered cliché like,bringing the killer whom we have seen earlier in the movie etc.The Sherlockian analysis copied from the ‘A Study in Scarlet’ was a brilliant inclusion.

DIRECTION:From the first film,the underrated film Detective,Jeethu Joseph has made a good impression in the minds of viewers.Mummy and Me and My Boss wasa surprise hit which made him the silent hit maker.He seems like a self made director.His direction skills have improved steadily from 2007.This film is way better than Detective in making,but still the mystery he carried in the detective is may favorite.His casting is not upto the mark.He could have used much more talented actors who can act in drama movies well. ACTING:As the lead Prithviraj delivered a decent performance.But in my opinion its not up to the mark.Except by his physique he could not do complete justice to the character.But there is no one in Malayalam industry now, to portray this character.The killer performed well.Also Sreejith Ravi,who had a groovy character to perform,which needs subtle acting.Most of the other actors performed way under the margin.

TECHNICAL:Editing by Shelton is one of the best works of recent times.Each scene progression awesome as we cll it.It is whole heartedly supported by the VFX department.The trail back scene through the city was the best among the pack.DOP Sujith Vasudev could have done a better job. SOUND TRACK:The BGS is done by Sejo John,who certainly saved the film from going in to dragging on multiple occations.Songs were not impressive as the BGM.

This movie is a must watch for all kinds of viewers.Its better than any other recent suspece thrillers for sure.Im giving 7 out of 10 for this thriller and a n extra 1 for the climax,because in this genre the climax matters more than any other things. RATING:8/10

The movies Pranchiyettan and Indian Rupee where good satires that visualized the inferiority complex, ego and greediness of human beings in a very realistic way. When film maker Ranjith returns to the director’s chair with his new movie Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty, what really missing is the freshness in content. Even though the maker manages to keep the movie in a real zone, the lack of sharpness in sarcasms and irrelevant plot elements makes this film quite underwhelming.

The movie basically revolves around our title protagonist Mathew aka Maathukutty. He lives in Germany along with his wife and two kids. His wife is a nurse and Mathew is unemployed. The Malayali association there plans to conduct a grand program on their silver jubilee celebration and assigns the jobless Mathukutty, the task of convincing  any big Malayalam movie star to participate in the event. Mathukutty’s arrival here and the events that happen afterwards is what this movie talks about.

By the end of the first half of the film you will surely feel the lack of natural humor that the director always created with his dialogues and situations. Everyone expects Ranjith to crack them with some realistic humor. But throughout the film, there is a lack of it and that annoys the rhythm of this movie. The greedy game of the social setup was presented practically but the reason that lead to all these incidents was quite sloppy. The channel idea was really awkward. There is an unbaked romantic angle in the film that finds it hard to fit in. Many of the elements we have seen in Pranchiyettan get repeated here. Like the Malayali Association and its politics, the inferior feel of the title character and even the way that climax sequence (Association’s celebration) is narrated.

In the performance side, Mammootty is really wonderful as the NRI. The actor carries the role with ease and manages to keep it away from the Pranchiyettan image. Muthumani shines as his better half in her rough portrayal.   Alisha Mohammed is just about convincing in her scattered appearance. A slightly younger actor would have been a better choice in the role played by P Balachandran. Balachandra Menon doesn’t have much to do in this drama. An exaggerated role for Tini Tom. Nedumudi Venu, Nandhu, Shekhar Menon, Siddique, Harishree Ashokan and many others are there in the cast who did their part nicely.

In the making, I think Ranjith have done the direction part decently. But the film fails in the scripting. The particular conflict zone created by the writer was very weak that we don’t get something that will make an impact on us. Because of this, the rest of the events look very dull. The dialogs as usual has that typical style of the director, but sadly there isn’t much to keep you excited. Madhu Neelakandan’s cinematography is really good and the cuts were also fine. The German feel in the BGM’s were good. The music was just about ok.

Overall this Ranjith film is just an average meal that scores with performances and some occasional sarcasm on society. My rating for Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty is a 2.5/5. The cameos by Mohanlal, Jayaram and Dileep will please you in this festive season, but on the whole Maathukutty looks like an extension of C E Francis.

What more to expect when national award winner Dhanush teamed up with Bharat Bala, A popular ad film maker and a former National Award Jury and the Music Mastreo AR Rahman whose tunes for the movie are already leading charts. Have Maryan raised to our expectations ? Without a second thought YES !

Maryan is the classic tale of love and survival. The story begins in Sudan where Maryan, a youth from costal region of Tamil Nadu is setting to go back to his home land where his love Panimalar waits for him. The story unfolds though a flashback which portrays their realistic love story and the incidents which leads Maryan to come to South African for a job. A sudden twist changes the path of the story which takes it to another level both story wise and emotionally. The film captures the costal life with so much realism and shots in the sea will new to audience.. The second half is truly an experience with a feel good climax.

There is no point in praising Dhanush every time for the dynamic characters he has done in recent times. He has given a splendid performance as ‘Maryan’. The variety of emotions he emotes is a treat to any cine lover and the pain and struggle of Maryan can be felt by the audience because of his natural acting. Without doubt, Maryan has taken him to next level as an actor. Well done Dhanush !
Talking about Panimalar, the lady love of Maryan is done by Parvathy Menon who is a sheer mix of natural beauty and talent. Her character is the reason for Maryan to fight back against any struggle which comes in his way. The chemistry between Dhanush and Parvathy is unexplainable starting from the first scene to the climax. Parvathy is here to stay back from a long time. The supporting characters by Appu Kutty, Uma Riyaz Kahan, Jagan, Salim Kumar have proved enough backup for the movie.

Marc Koninckx's cinematography deserves a special mention. Whether it is the coastal beaches of Tamil Nadu or the dry deserts of South Africa, the cinematography was top notch. AR Rahman is awesome as always. His songs and BGM are connected with the screenplay and helps the movie to give what audience needs at most times. The Nenju Ezhu hits the screen at perfect time which rises the movie and audience to another level. Editing by Vivek Harshan is crisp and perfect. Director Bharath Bala is a new gem to Tamil cinema who has the ability to mix realism, music and novelty adequately. His long years of experience is reflected all through the movie.

Coming to the negatives, there isn't anything to spot out but the pace in the second half can be a problem for some set of audience. Enjoy the slowness with special mindset.one who enjoys it will love the movie to the core:) else..you may be disappointed.!!

Although Maryan is a saga of love, romance. faith, hopes with amazing performance and strong technical support.

Watch or Not?: Ramaiya Vastavaiya is for people who have a taste in juvenile comedy. This Prabhudeva directorial works unabashedly on regular formula of a hero, a heroine and her staunch elder brother. Expect an average entertainer, this one is a stylishly silly, regular masala rom-com that expects you to leave your brains at home!
An Australian born NRI Ram flows down to India to attend his cousin’s wedding and falls in love with her friend Sona. Despite other women eyeing him, her naïve charm makes our hero go gaga on her.
But one insulting scene between his mother and girl’s brother shatters his perfect picture. Now he must impress a conservative and robust brother, who is fiercely protective of his only sister. The film attempts to celebrates the triumph of a love story that must mend a few impossible fractures to win
Girish Kumar has innocent eyes and that’s all I managed to notice about him. It was bearable sitting through his chimp like acting because he is endearing!
Shruti Haasan is the striking shadow of her mother, in beauty. However, her acting has way to go before it evolves to that! She has a pleasant screen presence to aide her shaky performance which works in her favor.
Sonu Sood is robust and scorching! Yes, it indeed doesn’t match up to the charisma he lent to Chedhi Singh inDabangg but he is undoubtedly good!
Randhir Singh is wonderful as Girish’s father and Vinod Khanna is just as appealing. And both Poonam Dhillon and Satish Shah deserved better roles!
Prabhudeva’s signature flamboyance is what the film reeks of. His first tryst with making a romantic comedy is as good or bad as the rest of his repertoire. However, the film lacks the enigma of his previous films, for the obvious lack of actors that colossal. The screenplay is colorful and doesn’t go insipid but the grotesque sense of humor it imbibes could have been avoided. The music is strictly fine and Jaadu Ki Jhappi is what prevails for Prabhudeva’s maverick like dance.
Verdict:Its childish and regular formulaic affair works if have the appetite for standard entertainer
